Crew Building and Renovations is a company started by a friend of mine, Lee, and currently based in the Plett area in South Africa.
He wanted to incorporate a badge element to his renovations company logo, along with a house or building character, speaking to his industry type.
The typeface we settled on speaks to both a thicker and bolder name which stylistically displays some design class with establishment and trustworthiness.
I added some patchy overlay elements to the logo to give it an established and timeless feel.
Lee also wanted the logo for digital and print-based use, so the brief was to stick to a simple colourscheme which he can then have printed onto construction signboards.
For this we used three main colours, and played with the whitespace to do most of the work for the look and feel of the logo.
